ABSTRACT: Early childhood education (ECE) significantly influences the development of loyalty among young children, which is crucial for their social and emotional well-being. This study examines how ECE programs foster loyalty in early childhood settings. The objectives are to (1) assess the development of loyalty in children attending ECE programs, (2) evaluate the effectiveness of loyalty-building activities in ECE settings, and (3) compare the loyalty levels of children who attend ECE programs with those who do not. A survey design was employed to gather quantitative data on loyalty development and qualitative insights from educators and parents. A purposive sample of 120 children from preschools in Niger State was selected. The case study focuses on preschools known for their loyalty-building initiatives. Findings revealed that children in ECE programs exhibited higher levels of loyalty compared to those not in such programs. Loyalty-building activities were found to be particularly effective. Recommendations include integrating loyalty-focused activities into ECE curricula and supporting educators in fostering loyalty among young children.
